 A Thai tourist visa is usually only valid for 3 months per entry however you are able to apply for a multiple entry tourist visa which contains 4 entries. They are however becoming rare. Some Thai consulates especially the consulates in Asia will only issue you with less than four entries; for instance, Penang, in Malaysia, usually only allows three entries. A tourist visa will set you back at least 1,000 baht ($25) per entry at the consulate and must be applied for at a Thai consulate outside of the Kingom of Thailand. |

 You have six months from your entry into Thailand to bring in your household items from your home country. After you have been granted a permit to stay for a year in Thailand, your belongings will not be taxed.If However your permit to stay is for less than one year, these items will be taxed 20 percent import duty plus 7 percent value-added tax. |
